A safari lodge is a permanent structure — stone, wood, or thatch — with en-suite rooms, a restaurant, bar, and usually a pool. A permanent tented camp uses fixed canvas tents on raised platforms with proper beds, en-suite bathrooms, and flush toilets — more atmospheric and closer to nature. A mobile or seasonal camp packs up and follows the migration, offering the most immersive bush experience of all.
